SECURITY
Thieves boast about how fast they are able to break into something that belongs to you--whether it be your car or your home. They have to do what they are doing quickly, so that they are gone by the time anyone notices or by the time the authorities arrive. The longer they have to spend breaking in, the sooner they have to be gone and the less time they have to steal. Rolling shutters provide a physical barrier on the outside of your windows and sliding glass doors that any would-be intruder has to overcome before he even gets to the glass. They can come equipped with a locking system that greatly inhibits anyone's ability to raise the shutters from the outside. Yet from the inside, with as little an effort as the flick of a switch or a pull on a strap, they open to provide a clear and unobstructed view. Alarm systems involve response times by the secuity company or local law enforcement. Rolling shutters, on the other hand, puts time on your side. The better a home is protected, the more uncertainty the thief is faced with and the greater the chance that he will seek out an easier target. Remember: Later could be too late.
