Double glazed windows, also known as insulated glass have grown in popularity in the last 20-25 years. Unfortunately, consumers have discovered that insulated glass is prone to an undesirable fogging.

Most people are unaware that a solution to fogged glass is to replace the insulated panes with single glazed glass and to install a rolling shutter, thereby increasing the 'R' value by over 300% over that of single glazing.  This is distinct from and in addition to the major benefit of the shading capacity of the rolling shutter - keeping the sun off the glass.
